The work in Staten Island is not over! Hurricane Sandy’s devastating effects are still being felt in the tri-state area. Sun Logistics helped victims in the Midland Beach area of Staten Island by transporting a military tent and related equipment from San Diego and placing on site in early December shortly after the storm. Sun employees and their family members also manned the erected “facility” organizing donations and serving the local population and relief workers. The tent came down March 2nd and is on its way back to San Diego.
Vicki from Info Systems who was the real driver of this effort thanked Todd Breen, the owner of Sun Logistics, by saying:
“I want to take this opportunity on behalf of S.T.A.R (Small Town America Responds) and the Infinity Team to
thank you for your generosity for facilitating the shipment of tent. We appreciate your generosity as without you this would not have been possible.”
Contributions and aid are still needed to help with the staggering clean-up effort throughout CT, NY and NJ. While Sun Logistics does not endorse one particular charity over the other, the link below will help you chose a charity should you be inclined to get involved. If you do, THANK YOU from all of us at Sun Logistics.
